The banks and the auto-industry were bailed out under the Bush Administration. This is a form of socialism for the rich. Although the poor and the middle class may not be able to articulate this form of socialism for the rich as being unfair to the poor and the middle class, this is the primary reason for unrest in this Country.
Jamie Dimon should be in jail. The OBAMA ADMINISTRATION SHOULD HAVE ARRESTED HIM FOR THE SHENANIGANS HE PULLED DURING THE BANKING CRISIS. HE IS AWARE OF EVERY SINGLE BUSINESS TRANSACTED BY JP MORGAN CHASE & CO., INC. AND TO SAY OTHERWISE IS A FABRICATION.
Most in the middle class and poorer class do not support socialism. They would like a hand up, not a hand up, the same as was given to the rich like Jamie Dimon. We cannot call the bank bailout out anything other than a form of socialism.
Democrats were too weak under the Bush Administration to vote against the bank and auto-industry bail out. Why? Greed for themselves? If 70% of Americans have no money in the stock market, then a market crash would have mostly affected the rich. entrepreneurs would have come forward, and would have been able to compete in an economy that is controlled by the rich. The politicians could have made a deal that allowed banks and the auto-industry to be bailed out only if the financial remuneration was given to the poor and the middle class. However, then the politicians would have lost some of their wealth.
The Democrats under Bush could have taken the opportunity to break up these monopolies and equalize income disparity in this great Nation. However, they did nothing and the media did nothing.
The Republicans under Obama together with the Democrats could have fined the banks, and put those whose aberrant and abusive collection practices continue until this day. Jamie Dimon has been smarter. He appeases those like Elizabeth Warren Jamie Dimon shifts his responsibilities on to collectors and those he contracts with by making it look like he is not responsible for the actions he directed. He/Jamie Dimon does this by entering into unfair and deceptive indemnification agreements with collectors or others who do his/Jamie Dimon’s dirty work.
Maybe the Obama health care plan failed, but at least President Obama tried in earnest to provide heath care to all Americans and to keep capitalism in place during the process. Moreover, it probably failed because of the greed of the insurance companies and the insurance executives and because politicians did nothing to combat the greed. There were ways to improve health insurance, but again partisan politics and greed got in the way.
Why anyone is surprised at what is going in politics in light of the rampant greed and affluenza is shocking! The politicians have been craving riches for years. Unfortunately, they may not have a Nation to spend their money in this great, democratic nation, that values freedom and civil rights because of what they have done.
Who do we have to thank for embarking on income inequality, those like Jamie Dimon and JP Morgan Chase & Co., Inc.!
