Nahum Kianovsky attorney for Health First refuses to refund money. The client over paid in February by $1.68. The Client called in her payment in March was told to pay $1.68 less. Health First cancelled the insurance in March but took all premiums for the rest of the year when the client called in over the phone.
Health First refused to pay claims. The amount charged by Northwell was $747.00, but Health First had only paid $73.00 for the same claim. So Northwell is price gauging, charging ten (10) times the amount that insurance companies get to pay.
The client requested a refund. Nahum Kianovsky has been told he will be sued for fraud and deceit and Pat Wong, Daniel McCarthy, John J. Bermel , Frances Rao, and Linda Tiano will be sued for breaching their fiduciary duties unless the premiums are refunded.
I guess they do not care. Their members will pay for their refusal to return premiums they accepted after insurance was cancelled.
