GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER, SEPSIS, AND UNUSUAL BEHAVIORAL AND MENTAL DISTURBANCES OF THE ELDERLY WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL

Sepsis is the body’s overwhelming and life threatening response to infection which can lead to tissue damage, organ failure and death.

When a wound is not healing, a patient is at risk for sepsis.  At Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, the risk for developing stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3 sepsis is often overlooked and appropriate and standard wound care is likewise overlooked. Stage 3 Sepis is toxic shock and can prove fatal.

Abnormal mental behavior is associated with sepsis, but is very frequently ignored, especially at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.  Agitation on its own is not necessarily a sign of a blood infection, but in combination with other symptoms it can become a sign of sepsis.

Please do not let your loved one become a victim of Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.  If you see any unusual behavior that is not being addressed by the staff at the Hospital, contact an attorney or the Department of Health in New York State immediately.

Blood flow will be restricted to vital organs especially toes, fingers, arms and legs. resulting in gangrene (tissue death).

Blood can be restricted to vital organs, your brain, lungs, kidneys, and heart causing organ failure.

This is a serious condition when it is left untreated.  Insist that the staff at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center rule out sepsis if any type of wound is involved.

It may save the life of your loved one.
