For years and years, Suffolk County has been selecting one individual to run. Suffolk County runs this person on all party lines. The average voter does not notice. But take a look next time. There are two (2) individuals running and two (2)seats available for each spot. By way of example, the Family Court, the Supreme Court, and District Court.
Who runs the political parties and why are these people choosing our Judges?
Now Senator Chuck Schumer has made the same proposal for the Supreme Court Justice!
This is not good. In fighting is necessary to preserve our democracy. Do we really want these politicians and political parties determining our fate?
